Don’t live with ink that you don’t love
As time passes, specific body art or tattoos can become undesirable. Luckily there are treatments available to permanently reduce the appearance of body art and/or tattoos. At Aponi Aesthetics, we use a Q Switch laser system to gently disperse and lighten the particles of ink, causing them to lighten and fade away.
Several treatments are recommended, and results depend on:
- Color of the tattoo
- Type of ink used
- Age of the tattoo
What should be expected during the treatment?
A topical numbing cream is applied to the area to be treated for maximum comfort. The laser energy is delivered in a precise manner based on the color and vividness of the tattoo. The treatment is rather quick, depending on the size of the area treated.
Is there any downtime?
After the laser treatment, the area will appear red and swollen. In some cases, the area becomes slightly bloody, but is entirely normal and resolves quickly. Treatments are recommended every 4 to 6 weeks and can take up to 8-10 treatments to achieve the desired result.
